How Matchas Made
Matcha is made by using the camellia sinensis green tea leaves that are shaded
for 3-4 weeks before harvesting. They do thos to boost chlorophyll and amino acids,
creating that vibrate green colour. The leaves are hand picked then steamed to prevent
oxidation, they are then dried and de-veined. That makes a produc called techa. Finally
the tencha is slowly ground into an ultra fine powder using granite stone mills.
