Most Millennials and Gen Zs will recognise the name Imagine Dragons. When Dan Reynolds met Andrew Tolman at Brigham Young University they recruited a second Andrew and others to start rock band Imagine Dragons. The name is an anagram, only known to the band members. Although missing the extra 'n', this anagram is suspected to be Damaged Origins. Imagine Dragons create powerful songs, many of which have been used in popular movies and trailers.

15 year old guitarists and friends Billie Joe Armstrong and Mike Dirnt formed their first band with two other people from their school at the time. After a few member swaps and band name changes, the group adopted the title Green Day, slang in the region for doing nothing but drugs for a whole day. During the rebelious band's musical preformance in 1994, chaos ensued and over 100 people were injured. Composed of 5 members, independent pop band Tally Hall is known for creating quirky and catchy tunes. These friends met at the University of Michigan and chose their band name based on the old Tally Hall shopping mall nearby. Even their debut album, Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum, shares the name with an arcade from that very mall. The band was active from 2002 until the end of their tour in 2011. After the band broke up, some of the members went their own ways, though most stayed together to create the band Miracle Musical in 2012. Lemon Demon is a music project started by Neil Cicierega, the bands only official member. Lemon Demon makes nerdy music, starting his career remixing video game music in the late 1990s. Singer-songwriters and friends, Kelley Dugan and Mina Walker first met at the Tisch School of Arts where they were both studying for majors in acting.
