Welcome to the world of Dungeons and Dragons the most popular table top role play game (ttrpg) in the world. to understand how classes help you will first have to know how the game works. the game revolves around differant dice the most important dice is the "D20" this dice has 20 sides and is used to decide how well you complete a task or if you complete a task, these use modifyrs from your stats. so depending on what you arer trying to acomplish your stats will affect you differantly.
The other way your class can effect your playing is in combat, some classes thrive in battle like the barbarian while some are more useful when exploring like a bard. the classes that benefit in combat offer unique abilities suted for combat like a barbarians rage ability which gives it resistances and advantages while fighting somthing. bards who are more fitted for exploration can buff themselves or teammates by giving them a bonus dice from bardic insperation.
