Introduction
Vocaloid Music is a genre utilised by Yamaha's voice synthesiser software. It works by inputting lyrics and melodies for virtual vocals to sing. this genre uses voice banks based on real singers, and they have a persona/character attached to them; it is practically voice acting but utilised for music.
The voice provider must record themselves singing every possible sound in the appropriate language (almost always japanese) on one note as a base, then it can be pitched and altered by external producers using the respective voice bank.
