Flow Charts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 Tables Charts
The three rectangles you have on your slide from the previous lesson all have the same text. Here's what your rectangles should look like:
To change the text on a grouped objects, simple click inside the text box. Your cursor will start flashing. For the second text box, change your text to this: Lower Manager meets with Middle Manager For the third text box, the text is this: Middle Manager meets with Upper Manager You can also format the text box itself, along with anything in it. To do this, right click anywhere inside of the text box (or on the edges). From the menu that appears, select Format Object. When the dialogue box appears, click on the Text Box tab at the top:
The Text anchor point at the top gives you these options:
This just refers to the position of the text inside of your text box. We've set ours to Middle Centered. You can also set a margin for your text box. This will add space from the edges of the text box to the text itself.
And that's it - the shapes are done! We can now add the text box at the bottom.
Add a New Text BoxThe final thing we want to add to this slide is a text box at the bottom. You've added a text box in a previous section. But click Insert > Text Box from the PowerPoint menu bar at the top. Drag out a text box underneath your shapes, and enter the following text: How do we Save Time? Change the Font to Times New Roman, and the Font size to 24. Position
your text box to your liking, and the slide should look like this:
Now that we have all the slide object in place, we can add the Custom Animation. We'll do that in the next part. However, the Custom Animation process is different in PowerPoint 2000 than it is in PowerPoint 2003. If you have the 2000 version of the software, you need this link: Animate your Shapes (PowerPoint 2000) --> If you have PowerPoint 2003, then here's your link: Animate your Shapes (PowerPoint 2003) -->
