Ethan Kath's Production Style

Ethan Kath's production was heavily influenced by lo-fi aesthetics and analog equipment. He used vintage synthesizers, drum machines, and cheap recording equipment. He worked with basic setups including Roland synthesizers like the Juno-106 and Korg MS-20, intentionally embracing distortion and noise.

Kath layered aggressive beats with haunting melodies, often incorporating 8-bit sounds and video game samples. He recorded in unconventional spaces like basements and bedrooms, creating the raw, gritty texture of their early tracks.

Alice Glass's Vocal Style

Alice Glass employed a raw, aggressive singing style, often using spoken-word delivery or whispered vocals rather than traditional melodic singing. Her voice was processed with heavy effects including distortion, reverb, and pitch manipulation, creating an ethereal quality.

She recorded vocals in a single take, capturing raw emotion without polished production. This unconventional approach, combined with Kath's production, created a sound that was both accessible and experimental.
