History Of Polo
Polo G was born on January 6, 1999, and grew up in the city of Chicago in the state of Illinois. Growing up in Chicago, he experienced a challenging environment that influenced much of the music he would later create. Many neighborhoods in the city struggle with violence and crime, and these conditions became part of the reality of everyday life for many young people living there. Polo G often heard the sounds of gunshots in his community and witnessed issues such as gang activity, drugs, and frequent conflicts with law enforcement. Despite these difficult surroundings, his experiences growing up in Chicago played a major role in shaping his perspective and his music. Many of his songs reflect the struggles he saw around him and the emotions that came from living in such an environment. By sharing these real-life experiences through his lyrics, Polo G has been able to connect with listeners who relate to similar challenges, while also telling the story of where he came from and how it influenced the artist he became.
Yound Polo G started writing music when he was about 9, where he would freestyle on the block with his dad, but Polo G only started really taking it seriously around the age of 15 - 17. He started gaining attention in 2018 when his first song, ODA, was released. He was also gaining attention with his other songs, like Finer Things, and Gang with Me.
