Welcome to the Horizon Festival
In Forza Horizon 6, you step into the world of Horizon as a tourist arriving in Japan for the very first time. You have no reputation, no rank, and no history within the Festival. Everything is unfamiliar, from the neon-lit cities and winding mountain passes to the quiet coastal highways and rural backroads waiting to be discovered.
At the start of your journey, you are not a racer in the traditional sense, but an outsider learning what the Horizon Festival truly is. You begin by taking part in small events, informal challenges, and discovery-based drives that introduce you to Japan’s diverse driving culture. Every road you travel and every event you complete contributes to your Collection Journal, which records your growing experience and progress.
As you continue to drive and improve, your reputation begins to grow. Other drivers start to notice you, rival crews challenge your presence, and Festival scouts begin appearing at events to observe your performance. What begins as quiet exploration slowly turns into recognition, and the idea of joining Horizon becomes more real with every race you complete.
Your breakthrough comes when you are invited to compete in the Horizon Invitational. This event gathers promising drivers from across Japan and tests every aspect of their skill. You face demanding road races, technical mountain routes, and unpredictable mixed-surface challenges designed to push you beyond your limits. Success here is what determines whether you are ready for the Festival.
If you prove yourself in the Invitational, you earn your place in the Horizon Festival as a rookie driver. From this moment forward, your journey becomes part of the official Horizon world. The Festival is alive with competition, celebration, and constant movement, where drivers from around the globe gather to push their machines and their abilities to the edge.
Progression within the Festival is measured through Wristbands, each one representing a new level of status and recognition. As you rise through the ranks, new opportunities unlock, including faster vehicle classes, more extreme events, and increasingly skilled rival drivers. Your identity within Horizon is shaped not only by victories, but by the way you choose to race and the disciplines you focus on.
While these days may not be officially recognized, they can still have a significant impact on popular culture. They can inspire creative expression, generate social media trends, and even influence consumer behavior. By embracing unofficial holidays, we can add a touch of whimsy and excitement to our lives, celebrating the unique and diverse aspects of our culture.
