History

Formula 1 began in 1950 with a small number of races in Europe, and over time, it grew into a massive sport. The early years featured many driver icons like Juan Manuel Fangio, who dominated in the 1950s, and later, Ayrton Senna, who was a legend in the '80s and '90s. Michael Schumacher also made a massive impact, winning seven World Championships in the 1990s and 2000s. As the years went on, F1 cars became faster, more powerful, and more advanced with technology like hybrid engines and aerodynamics. Safety improved too, with innovations like the halo device and stronger car designs to protect drivers.
