Size:
Your car can’t be big, like pickup track or SUV. It has to be small or midsize. Why? Because smaller car easier to drive and park and most of the small cars are cheaper on fuel. I would be sad if you will destroy your vehicle in the first week of ownership. Or it will be too expensive on petrol and you will continue using your bike. Defenetly stay away from sport cars, even if you like them.

Gas and engine:
I would recommend to see the range of hybrid cars, or cars with small dizel or petrol engine. The same thing, your car should be cheap on gas.

Country of Origin:
Defenetly Japan. Because Japanese cars is frequent occurrence in New Zealand, and it would be easier to find the detail if you’ll need it. Second reason of my opinion is quality of Japanese motors, Japanese vehicles are the most reliable cars. Probably you mind that this is important. And also most of the cars from Japan are cool.

Color:
Yeah, that’s also important question. For example, I’m a citizen of Tauranga, and I will be looking for the white car. Why is that? Because bright colors reflect sunlight and hot temperature. Bay of Plenty has really hot summer, so I would think about it. If you live in a cold place, pay attention to cars with dark color like black because the vice versa attract the sunlight. Trust me, I lived in Russia.

All of these are important, but don’t forget to choice something that you like. Because you need to like your vehicle. Also don’t do any stupid things, you have one car and one life!
