Cache Description

First Cache Pick up this cache on the beautiful scenic walk around the Mount.....but bring a pen. Please be gentle.

This cache is in a very muggly area and this is the challenge! It is on the track around the base of Mauao (the Mount) which is an historic reserve, owned by Maori and managed by Tauranga City Council. There are stunning ocean and harbour views most of the way, on a track which is suitable for strollers and wheelchairs but please take care.

There are plenty of cafes and icecream shops on Adams Ave which is the part of the walk between ocean and harbour. Toilets are available whether starting at harbour or ocean.

Again, please be gentle with cache hidey hole and place cache back exactly as found where it cannot be spotted.

First to Find honours go to Kennyclan!!!

Finding the Cache

Cache Box Finding this cache was relatively easy, though at first due to the margin of error on our phones GPS we had difficulty deciding between two small Pōhutukawa trees. But after a small amount of rummaging through the branches we found the cache.

The cache was a small plastic container with a note book among other things. This was the note book where we wrote our GeoCaching.com usernames to log our visit physically, as well as logging it through the site. We then proceeded to put the cache back in its hiding spot and cover it up with a few leaves.
