The History

The Land Rover Defender 90 began production in 1983 and ended in 2016. The vehicle has inspired many through it's production run and has been in many famous world 4x4 races, like the Camel Trophy . This 4x4 Olympic event was held every year from 1980-2000. This amazing 4x4 event was famously hosted by the cigarette brand Camel.

Why Defender 90?

The Land Rover Defender 90 wasn't just a cool name, it was named for a reason. The Land Rover Defender 90 was named after its 90 inch wheel base (the gap between both wheel arches on the car.) This 'inch' class wheel base measurement carried through to other models that Land Rover produced of the Defender like the Defender 110, 127 and 130.
