The Land Rover Defender 90: A Military Machine?
Serving as a military vehicle for many different countries in many different
temperatures and climates, the Land Rover Defender 90 has proved its worth and
reliability to cope, even in the worlds most heated battles. Throughout its time,
the British military bought many Land Rovers and used them for amphibious assaults,
drops from aeroplanes and desert battles. The Land Rover Defender 90 was used as Britain's
version of America's Jeep and later, the Humvee.
The Military Machine
The Land Rover Defender 90's service in the British military was greatly appreciated
in many countries. Although the British military has discountinued and is selling off
their fleet of Land Rover's, they are still in service in military training camps like
Camp Viking, in Norway, to keep a close eye on the advances of Russia on Britain. Although
the Land Rover Defender 90 has served with various militaries, it is greatly appreciated by
the fans that buy the discontinued Land Rovers and use them for their own personnal uses, commonly
taking them on 4x4 adventures and expeditions.
